In June 2017, our new workwear fabrics with Antistatic properties, CleanStatic-180 and CleanStatic-240 were successfully tested by EN 61340‐5‐1:2016 (Protection of electronic devices from electrostatic phenomena) at international laboratory BTTG (UK).
CleanStatic is our new serie of Antistatic fabrics. They are poly-cotton fabrics CleanStatic-180 (180gsm) and CleanStatic-240 (240gsm), both fabrics made with 65% Cotton, 33% Polyester and 2% Antistatic carbon fibers. These Antistatic fabrics have plain weave and addition of Belltron antistatic yarn gridlocked in the surface of fabric, which makes it safe for use in Electronic components manufacturing and similar industries where ESD effect can destroy electronic components. To prevent Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sparks, antistatic fibers safely discharge static electricity eliminating the risk of destroying of electronic microschemes.
IEC 61340-5-1:2016 is a standard describing requirements for an ESD control program. During the testing, there were measured surface electrical resistance (point‐to‐point). Our antistatic fabrics both met the requirements of the standard.
You can find more information about these new fabrics on the CleanStatic product pages.
