  1. Determination of Dimensional Change in Domestic Washing and Drying (ISO 5077:2008) – performance level PASS
In accordance with the Standard EN ISO 11612:2015, the dimensional change shall not exceed ±3%

Sonora-185AS results for new samples and after 5 washes @60ºC ISO 6330:2012, method 6N, F drying (tumble dry)

  • Warp: +1,0 – PASS
  • Weft: -2,0 – PASS
  1. Tear Resistance (ISO 13937-2:2000)
The relative expanded uncertainty of Tear resistance is ±3.9% assay value of the measured, for a probability of coverage of 95%. Is determined the Lengthwise and Crosswise directions, respectively.

REQUISITE ACCORDING TO EN ISO 11612:2015

The external material must resist a determination of tear resistance in both directions ≥ 10 N.

  • Warp strength: – 16N- PASS
  • Weft strength: 15N – PASS

  1. Contact Heat (ISO 12127-1:2015)  – performance level F1
  • Average threshold time (S): 7,4

ISO 12127-1:2007 specifies a test method for the determination of contact heat transmission. It is applicable to protective clothing (including hand protectors) and its constituent materials intended to protect against high contact temperatures. ISO 12127-1:2007 is restricted to contact temperatures between 100°C and 500°C.

The performance requirements set out in ISO 11612:2015 are applicable to garments which could be worn for a wide range of end uses, where there is a need for clothing with limited flame spread properties and where the user can be exposed to radiant or convective or contact heat or to molten metal splashes.

Flame retardant fabric Sonora-185AS is a light protective fabric for hot climate made of 80% cotton, 19% polyester and 1% antistatic in plain 1/1 weave. It is a good choice for flame retardant shirts or other light flame retardant clothing.

The areas of Sonora-185AS fr-fabric use might be Transportation of Oil & Gas (pipelines workers), Petrochemical (refineries staff), Utilities (Electrical/Water/Gas service companies personnel) etc. High quality cotton rich blend, improved by addition of polyester, provides that Sonora-185 FR-fabric combines comfort of natural fibers and durability, higher tear resistance and better colorfastness of polyester.
Belltron antistatic yarn is embedded in the structure of Sonora-185AS. These carbon stripes give to the wearer extra protection against Static Electricity sparks(ESD), which might be dangerous in explosive atmospheres of Refineries or Oil Terminals.

You can find all the certificates and additional information on the product page.
